The amazing Aloha

 

Aloha shirts for men are a style of dress shirt originated in Hawaii. They are collared and buttoned dress shirts, usually with short sleeves and made from bright, colorful printed fabric. Aloha is Hawaiian word for love, affection, peace, compassion and mercy. It has a deeper cultural and spiritual significance to the natives of Hawaii Island. Though this word Aloha is commonly used as a simple greeting but defines a force that holds together the existence. These Aloha shirts are often worn un-tucked or tucked into the waist of the trousers. They are mostly worn as a casual wear or as informal business attire in Hawaii. These short sleeved collared shirts may have buttons for the entire length or till down to the chest. Aloha shirts are traditionally decked with customary Hawaiian quilt design with luminous pattern on it. The use of breathable linen material in this shirt keeps the body cool and relaxed in heat. Aloha shirts are made of wonderful eye-catching printed fabric and look very bright and colorful.

 

Aloha shirts are named after the island of Aloha of Hawaiian island chain. Hawaii is a group of volcanic island located in the central Pacific Ocean. This shirt is a conventional style of dress originated in Hawaii but popular throughout the world. Modern Aloha shirts do not always carry their customary features, instead they have other features like drinks, nuts and berries, palm trees and other tropical feature printed on it. These shirts are extensively used by the natives during any cultural celebrations. Hope Dennis, who was a journalist and textile designer, wrote in a magazine article in 1966 that about thirty five years back, a Hawaiian garment manufacturer first designed the Aloha shirt. The journey of Aloha shirt started since then and became extremely popular worldwide.
